]]> Today I read yesterday’s newspaper and foung that TCS(Tata Consultancy Services) has signed a pretty good deal with the Ministry of External Affairs,Government of India for the passport seva project!This is a very good project whose prime purpose is to save the time for people seeking passport.. This e-governance project is valued at over Rs.1000 crore. This firm will finish this project in a span of 19 months and this will be implemented within a Buy-Own-Operate-Transfer(BOOT) framework..

True Purpose after implemetation of the project:

1) The new passposrts will be issued in three working days

2) passports issued under Tatkal scheme will be dispatched on the same day!

The government will be opening 77 passport filling centres across the country in a Phased manner.. TCS has the end-to-end responsiblity in implementing the project!

Looks like TCS has got a way to move up the ladder again!!!
