I don't know how you managed a cup of black coffee. 😄 I tried but I guess I gave up too soon. I drink Mocha every morning since making a cup of kadak chai needs too much effort. So Mocha, which I make with instant coffee, is my drink.
Also forgetting to drink the coffee is so common now. I sometimes have to reheat it. I still remember when my son was a baby, I had to reheat my tea 5 times before I could finish it. Drinking coffee peacefully is a luxury for parents. 😊

Sometimes simply watching someone enjoy something makes us love it too - just like your mom and that cup of coffee. I love the flavour of filter coffee. I really am a tea person but my BIL introduced me some great coffee brands and I enjoy them occasionally. Black coffee, however, is something I haven't been able to wrap my head around.

Sometime last year, I gave up coffee. Maybe I was trying to prove to my husband that one could quit something they loved. Back then, I enjoyed my cold coffee with jaggery. Chilled milk with loads of jaggery and a teaspoonful of the heavenly coffee powder was my go-to. Some months ago, I took to coffee again, especially during my PMS, when I needed that extra push in the mornings. Now, although I begin my day with an oats-banana-yogurt smoothie, I have a hot, black coffee without sugar around 10 am. That's when hubby has left for work and the babies are asleep in their little nest and the house is quiet. Those moments, when I just sip my hot, bitter coffee, lost in thoughts, are now some of my favorite moments.
Cheers to you, dear coffee girl!
