This monster in me

This monster in me,

Does not let me be,

She always disagrees,

So I never let her free.

I struggle to tame her,

That’s what stirs her,

Her horns grow stronger,

As if they were always there.

I let my anger grow,

My thoughts go with the flow,

I yell, I pout,

I get it all out.

The cry makes me fret,

Then I am upset,

I try to forget,

There is so much regret.

This monster in me,

Wouldn’t let me be,

I want to change,

Yet, Change sounds very strange.

Most of them talk about Alzheimer but there are still few who are not very familiar about it. Alzheimer’s in simple terms means loss of memory. But the first stage as per the doctor’s view towards it are problems with memory, thinking and concentration. When it comes to the daily routines, the individuals need minimal assistance.

I read some of the articles especially the articles written by family members of the dementia affected person. I should really say that it made me realize that still some good-hearted people exist in this world (i.e) the caregivers. When I came across this event, The Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk, I am ready to be a part of this nation wide walk to create awareness among millions of people out there. Alzheimer’s Memory Walk is surely a event to create awareness.

The message I would like to spread to this entire world is ,”When Alzheimer’s touches your life, we are here for you”

People of all ages can participate in this event and these walks will take place in more than 600 communities. A typical Memory Walk is a 2-3 mile walk held on a weekend morning in the fall. Participate in Alzheimer’s Memory Walk and make the world a better place.
