Write Tribe Reading Challenge 2019

Write Tribe has helped me write a lot in the last couple of years. Now, they encourage me to read. I had a plan to set around 15-20 books this year. Per Write Tribe, 24 is the minimum count this year. In 2018, I set 30 and managed only 24. This year I am clear to have a manageable number because this is a special year. Ilakkiya is 20 months old already and she will start school/play school in a year from now.

I choose to spend good time with her and still get my hands on good books. So, I would love to stick to being the book lover. This is the first time I am participating in a reading challenge and I must say I am excited. The prompts are interesting and for now, I am just sticking to 12 prompts.

Here’s my choices.

A book from Man Booker Prize Long List(any year): The God of Small Things by Arundathi Roy

A book from WWll time period: All the light we cannot see by Anthony Doerr
*
A book with a name in the Title: Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine by Gail Honeyman
*
A book that was a gift: Lean In by Sheryl Sandberg
*
A book with an animal in the title/cover: The call of the Wild by Jack London
*
A classic which you’ve never read: Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare
*
A book with 4 words in the Title: Seed, Grow, Love, Write by John Markowski
*
A book written by an author new to me: Deep Work by Cal Newport
*
A book made into a movie: Wonder by R.J. Palacio
*
A book you bought just because of it’s cover/a book with a beautiful cover: The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society by Mary AnnShaffer and Annie Barrows.
I feel I will add books to the remaining prompts. For now, I just have a plan of 12 prompts. I haven’t reviewed books at all, since I cannot do it without spoilers, well, I think it’s time to learn that as well.
