I hear you, Jayanthy. Most of us started blogging not because we thought of ourselves as writers, but we needed to an outlet, a space to pour our thoughts. And our blogs gave us that space and freedom without judgment. But blogging changed as years went by and although we tried to change the way we blog it never gave that same satisfaction. That’s why I’m writing without following any tends. One thing I learned after blogging for these many years is that I blog for myself, not my readers. And it’s okay even if it may come across as arrogant thought. Because whenever I tried to write for the reader, I couldn’t write.
As you said, follow your heart and blog for you when you need it. We are here to read, some of us are. :) Hugs, Jayanthy. 💛

I loved that quote - yes truly writing is releasing all the pent up emotions, releasing stories caged in our heart. Parenting will never be easy - I think I have made my peace with the fact that a part of me will always be anxious when it comes to my kid. Sometimes, while I am chilling, some dreadful thought will pop in my head for no reason at all. Like whyy!!
My husband often reminds me that kids become more creative when left alone, when they are bored. So I try not to hover or keep engaging all the time. Finding that balance between cool and strict parent is so hard. I don't know how my Dad did it. :)
Don't worry. You got it.

Nice to see you here after a long time, Jay. Happy 2025 to you!

2024 was the quickest year for me too and looking back I don't know what happened and I don't think I can write about it as I have no clue what went on. I've decided to slow down drastically this year and hopefully will make some great memories in 2025.

Wishing the same for you too.

So happy to see you back. I can understand that writing sometimes takes a back seat and that's ok. You can come back all refreshed and brimming with ideas. You had such a fulfilling year both at work and in life.
Trip to India is the highlight of our year too. Family time in little doses is actually great. 😅 My mom would hand me a potful of tea for breakfast, a cup of tea is never enough. We have to travel different states so it is exhausting, but such a good learning experience for my kid.
So glad that you priortised your health. How's the yoga class going? Do you see or feel the difference?
My kid corrects not just my accent but also words and tone. These little ones I tell you... 🤣 another generation that thinks their parents don't know anything.

I hope you have another beautiful year. Take care.
