I miss you
But I don’t really miss you
I’d like to keep in touch with you
But I’m scared of the misery it creates.

I’d like to help,
But I’m scared of overdoing it
I’m fond of having a chat
But now I’m scared of being accused and judged.

I feel guilty
If I’m not able to help
But what scares me more now
Is losing myself to keep up with you.

I don’t know where to start
I don’t know what to talk
It’s empty, it’s blank
A smile seals a whole lot.

I don’t know if I’m better this way
Or may be not
But I need more time
To connect again.

Shattering Love

It is so hard to look at you,
Tears rolling down your eyes,
My words feel empty even to me,
I just want to hug you and cry.

I cannot bear you cry,
I don’t have words to console you,
A loss so big,
Has ripped all the faith you had.

He was the best you had,
You hold him so dear,
He will be your guiding star,
Living in your heart forever.

You were a lovely couple,
One cannot take eyes off,
You were so good together,
Soft, subtle and kind.

I don’t know why things like this happen,
For I have no answers to the questions you ask,
Only tears roll down as I see you,
Lost in shattered pieces.

You mean a lot to me,
I really have to say,
I cannot bear to look at you,
Wrecked this way.

My hugs to you dear sister,
I don’t know what to say,
I am there to help you,
In any way you say!

The Time to Heal

The time to Heal

On some days it is not easy to smile
With so many things clouding my mind
Infinite questions without any answers
Breaking the calm that I always wanted
Do I need to give me some more time to heal?

It breaks my being to have trusted some
Even as I know in my deepest instincts
Those are some of the finest lessons I learnt
Still, it hurts like the first time when I hear someone talk.
Do I need to give me some more time to heal?

I thought talking about it heals it quickly
But was only judged more for what I told
I don’t want to be told it’s already late
Or what is the reason to think about it often
Do I need to give me some more time to heal?

I am slowly back to my shell again
I have felt offended and vulnerable
When I talk about my hurts and pains
I have survived many nightmares all by myself
I know I deserve the time to heal.

While I learn to trust myself again
I think about the right and wrong I’ve done
I am not going to deny anything I have done
But accept them as my human flaws
So I can heal some day in a better way.

It is okay for me not to be available always
To sit back and take time to respond
It is okay for me to sit back and see
That things still happen without me
Just the way it should be.

I am coming to terms with unresolved conflicts,
I am able to understand everything takes its own time,
Sometimes hours, days or years to heal,
It really doesn’t matter how long,
As far as I am healing beautifully.

Why listen to people who call you unlucky,

When you carry courage in your heart

And kindness in your soul!

Some words hurt deep,

Some actions might too,

So never forget you are your first friend!

If you love being the corporate homemaker,

You know what you want,

You have every right to chase your dreams,

And live them too!

If you are a housewife,

Spending your life within four walls,

To build this love nest we call our home,

You must allow yourself to follow your dreams!

Oh, Dear Lady, Wake up!

You deserve a partner who respects you,

Adores and celebrates you,

For you are God’s angels,

A unique blend, fragile yet strong!

Chin up, smile and look at you,

You will see a precious gift in front of you,

A woman with a bright smile,

Who makes it all worthwhile!

The bond you share is so much fun!

I wonder how you became friends,
Touchwood, I know this will last till the end,
How much you adore each other,
You guys are better than best brothers.

I know how much fun I make of you two,
I know you are each other’s go to,
You read each others eyes,
You two are a blessing in disguise.

The bond you share,
How much you care,

This is where I walk to,

When I have so much to do,

But I am left with no clue,

On how to take things through.

Life is very demanding,

It takes a lot of understanding,

To live it astounding,

I must keep expanding.

As I lie down and question why,

I see the bright stars shining in the sky,

Colors add beauty I cannot buy,

Gave me a feel that it is all worth another try.

The swing under this big tree,

Lets my thoughts flow free,

As I fly higher, my doubts clear,

Setting my wings again on fire!

The chill breeze tingling my face,

Reminds me that I must embrace,

All that I am and all that I will be,

Just to set my spirits free.

A renewed energy finds its way inside me,

Letting dubious thoughts flee,

A free spirited me,

Finally opens this heavy lock with a key!

I never thought it will be this way,

It is a fresh hurt that will stay,

I believed it was an unsaid promise,

For true sisters share a shoulder,

And willingly know what’s wrong,

And make us feel this is where we belong!

We don’t always get back what we give,

That’s one thing we learn while we live,

It doesn’t matter how good you were to them,
Irrespective of whose mistakes or situations,

If you are silent one day due to some reason,
I will assure you that you will be ignored.

Comfort is a luxury for some,
Whereas for others it is offered free,
People like them rarely recognize,
The hard work put by someone,
To hold things together,
Without making it all one step bitter.

I don’t believe prayers will come true,
If you cannot be kind to the person next to you,
Talk it out, if you want to change,
Even a smile can change things,
But that is never to be seen from you,
You don’t know to value a real relationship in your life!

There is also no value to the money
You give without a smiling face,
Some people may praise you in the front,
But talk behind, things you don’t want to hear,
You must really wake up and see,
People who really care for thee.

We have been kind enough,
To spread our wings and bring you close,
You neither realize it nor understand it,
But you don’t seem to bother even a bit,
When you realize that fake colors fade soon,
You will know the things you missed!

I learnt life is such,

People will talk to you,

Only if you talk to them,
There is no value for a relationship,

How close you were doesn’t matter,

Only Pride and ego does!

Life today isn’t what it was

Before a couple of years,

With pain engulfing me,

Not knowing what the next turn is about to bring.

From being the confused soul

To becoming the firm believer,

I have been through it all,

To understand I belong with you!

We stayed away,

To know what it really means,

We walked away because

We didn’t want to hurt each other.

Though we knew it from the beginning,

We are meant to be,

We had been through enough,

To believe in this sweet ecstasy.

When we let things be,

And broke our walls,

We found each other,

And laughed at our choice.

We married with blessings from all,

A splendid surprise after a long haul,

As Man and Wife our journey began,

Enjoying each moment as much as we can.

Even as Life twists and turns,

And even now some words burn,

You and I walk together,

Making this is our package altogether.

The arrival of our bundle of joy,

Has made us laugh more and enjoy,

All her giggles and snuggles,

Is more than enough to make her our new Valentine.

Watching the shadow play in our room,

Moving forward and backward,

I am swaying to a song in my mind,

Thinking about our Love and our dance together!

It isn’t easy to stay silent,

Amidst chaos,

Inside as well as out,

But, I have no choice.

Anger rising slowly,

As I hold it all in that deep breath,

Waiting to let it go,

But all I do is push it aside.

Words can be wronged,

It’s the same with feelings,

When you let them out to those who don’t understand,

It does not hold any value.

Tears make more sense,

Those who don’t understand today,

Will know someday,

That I don’t have anything more to say!

It’s better to let it go,

Than to make others see your point,

Which some never understand,

Until they bother to listen.

As I realize this,

A sense of calm enters me,

Tells me that I have me,

The best company!

Though times have changed,

The memories we created remain unchanged,

We have learnt to be together,

Even during the bad weather.

As we sipped our cup of tea,

Our memories started floating free,

Laughter slowly filled the hall,

As we started sharing it all.

We learned to be with each other,

We always have one another,

To share our little secrets,

As well as our life’s regrets.

Just upon your arrival,

I thought you were my rival,

You changed me with your love,

For which I am thankful to the lord above.

We fought so much

We never thought we’d even stay in touch,

The day I was transferred to another state,

I learnt you are my soul mate.

My First Little Girl, My Inspiration,

My First Daughter, My Sweet Pride,

My Second mother at times,

My Best Friend Forever.

Our lives are so different,

Yet we have so much to talk,

A day isn’t enough,

To get all our stuff out.

We are best friends now,

We laugh at our days before,

In each other we will always confide,

For we have nothing at all to hide.

The best gift my parents ever gave me,

Is this bundle of joy,

I call as my sister,

A blessing in disguise that I never want to miss her.
