Untamed

I tamed myself to be liked,
I tamed myself to be loved,
I tamed myself to stay with the crowd,
I laugh at myself for being a fool.

I’ve hurt myself more than you could,
I’ve lied to myself more than anyone could,
I’ve berated myself to be with you,
I am laughing at myself for being a fool.

I didn’t trust my gut enough,
I didn’t trust myself enough,
I didn’t want to be alone,
I am laughing at myself for being a fool.

Truth be told, life has not let me down,
It showed me where I belong.
I am the wildflower that grows untamed,
I realized as I untied the knot that choked me!

Wild and gloriously confident again
I am more of me than I’ve ever been,
From now on you’ll see more of me
Mischief managed with a spark and a smile!

The Little Bubble

We all make mistakes,
We all have our own reasons for it,
We all can make mistakes,
If we are willing to learn from it.

Life is learning right from wrong,
As we take each step and move on,
Every relationship is a beautiful song,
When understood we know we belong.

At times, you maybe right,
And I maybe wrong,
It would take us time to get along,
Silence and pain will make us strong.

It hurts to blame each other,
To blow it up out of cover,
Something that could be resolved,
If we stopped judging one another.

I wish we speak no words,
Since we speak only of hurt,
Not once of the moments that matter,
When we all walked together.

Complaints can bring trouble,
It broke the little bubble,
we held so close,
That we look at each other like foes.

I wish things change again,
We all need this pain,
To cleanse our minds and hearts,
So things don’t go in vain.

The Devil Next Door

I don’t have to bear your chauvinism,
I take you as a challenge,
Everyday I learn what to ignore,
And break free to live a bit more!

A woman is not meant to cook all day,
Or clean and pop out babies just as you say,
You are not a man,
If you don’t know to respect a woman!

You shout to make us fear,
Expecting us to shed a tear,
So we will totally disappear,
And forget our dreams dear!

You have failed right there,
You just put me on first gear!
I am not willing to share a word,
To you who will think it is absurd.

I will never shed another tear,
Instead I will send above a prayer,
To save you from your cruel thoughts,
For a day will come when you realize what you lost!

You were a king of crafts,
You definitely had skill,
That does not mean,
You can demean everyone else.

You have your own fears,
Face them to find thyself,
Do not trouble another,
For you will never be respected ever!

Life is to enjoy,
Why are you keen on planning to destroy,
You will live in a void,
That you will not be able to avoid.

Cherish the moment,
What’s the pleasure in a bad comment?
Live and let live,
That way, We will thrive!

Stop thinking you are not worthy,

For heavens, stop believing what others say you are!

Why listen to people who call you unlucky,

When you carry courage in your heart

And kindness in your soul!

Some words hurt deep,

Some actions might too,

So never forget you are your first friend!

Oh, Dear Lady, Wake up!

If you love being the corporate homemaker,

You know what you want,

You have every right to chase your dreams,

And live them too!

If you are a housewife,

Spending your life within four walls,

To build this love nest we call our home,

You must allow yourself to follow your dreams!

Oh, Dear Lady, Wake up!

You deserve a partner who respects you,

Adores and celebrates you,

For you are God’s angels,

A unique blend, fragile yet strong!

Chin up, smile and look at you,

You will see a precious gift in front of you,

Wednesday Verses: A Different Light

At times, Life isn’t what we think it is,
A loss makes us see it in a different light,
Some deaths make us see the bright side,
Whereas others shatters our core.

Life is different after the loss of a loved one,
The one who treated us dear,
The only one who trusted us through tough times,
Life isn’t going to be the same again.

Life has come to a standstill,
We don’t have a path to travel,
Life without you is not what we need,
It hurts deeply and we feel daunted.

Life shattered all faith we had,
Hope doesn’t look strong anymore,
All we want to do is sit and cry,
At the empty days ahead of us.

Blazing Fire

When we sit and talk,

It is like a blazing fire,

Rising to the ceiling,

Slowly burning down every worry,

Provoking tears of joy,

Hidden safely in a burdened heart.

Life showed us each other,

At the most unexpected times,

With a thousand doubts we started a journey,

With that ray of hope shining so bright,

Breaking our walls, we have survived.

Though we don’t make the perfect lemonades,

When life throws lemons at us,

I am glad we love the ones we make,

With a spoon of sugar for me

And a pinch of salt for you,

Making us understand our differences in the easiest way.

Life is tough with you,

Since you make me strive harder,

By kicking up my sweetly sleeping soul,

With your sweet yet determined words,

That push me slowly out of my comfort zone,

And rise up to who I really want to be!

Thanking you is the hardest thing to do,

For no one can hate you and love you as much as I do,

In all the years I have known you,

And for many more that is to come,

I will be there by your side,

To annoy you and love you a bit more than what I already do!

You read each others eyes,
You two are a blessing in disguise.

This is where I walk to,

When I have so much to do,

But I am left with no clue,

On how to take things through.

Life is very demanding,

It takes a lot of understanding,

To live it astounding,

I must keep expanding.

As I lie down and question why,

I see the bright stars shining in the sky,

Colors add beauty I cannot buy,

Gave me a feel that it is all worth another try.

The swing under this big tree,

Lets my thoughts flow free,

As I fly higher, my doubts clear,

Setting my wings again on fire!

The chill breeze tingling my face,

Reminds me that I must embrace,

All that I am and all that I will be,

Just to set my spirits free.

A renewed energy finds its way inside me,

Letting dubious thoughts flee,

A free spirited me,

Finally opens this heavy lock with a key!

I never thought it will be this way,

It is a fresh hurt that will stay,

I believed it was an unsaid promise,

For true sisters share a shoulder,

And willingly know what’s wrong,

And make us feel this is where we belong!

We don’t always get back what we give,

That’s one thing we learn while we live,

It doesn’t matter how good you were to them,
Irrespective of whose mistakes or situations,

If you are silent one day due to some reason,
I will assure you that you will be ignored.

Comfort is a luxury for some,
Whereas for others it is offered free,
People like them rarely recognize,
The hard work put by someone,
To hold things together,
Without making it all one step bitter.

I don’t believe prayers will come true,
If you cannot be kind to the person next to you,
Talk it out, if you want to change,
Even a smile can change things,
But that is never to be seen from you,
You don’t know to value a real relationship in your life!

There is also no value to the money
You give without a smiling face,
Some people may praise you in the front,
But talk behind, things you don’t want to hear,
You must really wake up and see,
People who really care for thee.

We have been kind enough,
To spread our wings and bring you close,
You neither realize it nor understand it,
But you don’t seem to bother even a bit,
When you realize that fake colors fade soon,
You will know the things you missed!

I learnt life is such,

People will talk to you,

Only if you talk to them,
There is no value for a relationship,

How close you were doesn’t matter,

Only Pride and ego does!

Life today isn’t what it was

Before a couple of years,

With pain engulfing me,

Not knowing what the next turn is about to bring.

From being the confused soul

To becoming the firm believer,

I have been through it all,

To understand I belong with you!

We stayed away,

To know what it really means,

We walked away because

We didn’t want to hurt each other.

Though we knew it from the beginning,

We are meant to be,

We had been through enough,

To believe in this sweet ecstasy.

When we let things be,

And broke our walls,

We found each other,

And laughed at our choice.

We married with blessings from all,

A splendid surprise after a long haul,

As Man and Wife our journey began,

Enjoying each moment as much as we can.

Even as Life twists and turns,

And even now some words burn,

You and I walk together,

Making this is our package altogether.

The arrival of our bundle of joy,

Has made us laugh more and enjoy,

All her giggles and snuggles,

Is more than enough to make her our new Valentine.

Watching the shadow play in our room,

Moving forward and backward,

I am swaying to a song in my mind,

Thinking about our Love and our dance together!
